Job Title: Azure Full Stack Developer (MVC/ASP.NET)

Overview: Strategic Media, LLC, a dynamic and innovative media company, is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining our MVC and ASP.NET applications hosted on the Azure cloud platform. This is a contract/hourly position with the potential for a long-term commitment. Approximately 10 – 20 hours/month with flexible timing (can be evening and weekend), US based applicants only, magazine experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain existing MVC and ASP.NET applications in the Azure cloud environment.
• Work with Azure App Services and Azure Virtual Machines to optimize application performance and scalability.
• Develop MVC, ASP.NET, and VB.NET applications using Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Utilize MS SQL Server for database-related tasks, including Transact SQL, stored procedures, views, and routine maintenance.
• Provide support to the entire team, ensuring smooth operations and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in developing MVC, ASP.NET, and VB.NET applications.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure App Services and Azure Virtual Machines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio for application development.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server, including Transact SQL, stored procedures, views, and routine maintenance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive working environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to ensure smooth operations.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with other cloud platforms and services.
• Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., TFS, Git).
• Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SSRS a plus, but not necessary.
• Progress Telerik/Kendo experience.
• Experience with magazine circulation and fulfillment is a plus.
